At least 4,000 hectares (nearly 10,000 acres) of coffee in the central highland provinces of Daklak, Lam Dong and Kontum are suffering from water shortages, the Nhan Dan (People) newspaper reports, citing local irrigation departments.

Water in the provinces' lakes have dropped to low levels, while sunny days are forecast ahead, the report said.
